About LFHI - Washtenaw

LFHI Washtenaw County is a chapter of the Light Fighter Homefront Initiative, a framework for community training and mutual aid across the United States.

We train practical skills for when systems fail, and we share them freely with our neighbors. Medical response, communications, land navigation, physical readiness, food production, digital security, civic engagement - the things an earlier generation considered ordinary and the things most communities have lost.

Our chapter organizes around the LFHI nine pillars: security, intelligence, operations, medical, communications, education, information, logistics, and homesteading. Every member cross-trains across all nine at foundation level. In time, we will run free public classes, support adjacent counties, and show up when our community needs us.

We are not a militia, a prepper group, or a political organization. We are there for our neighbors when they need us.

If you want to train, serve, and build a better community in Washtenaw County, get involved.
